Rooted in Culture: A Celebration of Contemporary Georgian Art
The “Rooted in Culture” exhibition, proudly presented by the Georgia Nation Harmony Foundation in collaboration with the Georgian Studies Program at the Davis Center, Harvard University, showcased the vibrant tapestry of contemporary Georgian art. Running from September 2024 through June 2025, this exceptional exhibition featured works from more than 25 acclaimed Georgian artists and offered a unique journey that bridged cultures, fostered democracy, and promoted dialogue between Georgia and the United States.
Curated by the distinguished Ketevan Paitchadze, the exhibition explored themes of identity, heritage, and modernity. Visitors experienced a diverse collection of artworks blending traditional techniques with contemporary perspectives—reflecting the innovative spirit of Georgian artists. From captivating paintings to monumental installations, “Rooted in Culture” celebrated creativity and the unifying power of art.
Special Event: The Art of Vision with Dr. Sergo Tbileli
During the exhibition, the Foundation hosted Dr. Sergo Tbileli for a special evening titled “The Art of Vision: An Evening with Dr. Sergo Tbileli.” This keynote lecture and workshop offered invaluable insights into Georgian artistic traditions and contemporary expressions.
